About the Film
A mermaid leaves the sea to marry a human.
On the shore, the Oyster Eye watches as she approaches the ceremony and the life she has chosen beyond the water.
There is no hidden bargain and no final revelation.
He knows that she is not like him.
It does not change his answer.
“Mira… no matter what you are, I love you. Will you marry me?”
“Yes. I choose you too.”
No Matter What You Are is deliberately simpler than the more elliptical stories in the Shell Oracle film series. It is built around a single idea: love does not require the strange to become familiar before it can be chosen.
The Oyster Eye does not interfere. It simply watches.
A mermaid crosses from one world into another, and two people make the same decision.
They choose each other.
