About the Film
A pirate captain has already taken something that does not belong to him.
Marked on his map simply as a Siren Relic, the stolen object becomes more important to him than the ship, the crew, or the battle gathering on the horizon. When the Royal Navy appears, he orders an escape, then abandons command to retrieve the hidden chest for himself.
The relic costs him his attention at exactly the wrong moment.
Cannon fire tears through the ship. The captain attempts to flee alone with the treasure, but another blast throws the chest into the sea.
From there, Homecoming quietly changes its subject.
The camera no longer follows the pirate. It follows the falling chest.
Beneath the surface, the Oyster Eye opens. A mermaid passes through the frame, briefly drawing the viewer’s attention elsewhere. By the time the gaze returns to the relic, it is already disappearing into the dark.
The captain believed he was escaping with the treasure.
The treasure was going home.
Homecoming is the first narrative short film from the world of Shell Oracle. Built from AI-generated visual and video material, the film was manually written, directed, edited and assembled as a cinematic narrative rather than a conventional product advertisement.
Technically, it began as an advertisement.
Unfortunately, it became a pirate film.
